Preventing Women's Hair Loss Through Hair Care

By Eric Huff

Can women's hair loss really be stopped by good hair care? This is not a question that can be answered with certainty. Unfortunately, all women cannot prevent hair loss this easily. The fact is, proper hair care won't prevent hair loss if you are genetically inclined in this direction. It can, however, ensure that the hair you do keep is as healthy as possible and that is very important. Taking the best possible care of your scalp and hair will, in many instances, help to prevent hair loss in women. The fact is, regardless of your particular circumstances, you aren't keen on losing your hair. We will now look at some of the most effective ways to keep your hair as healthy as possible.

You should never brush your hair if its wet. This is something you should remember. The best way to get the tangles out of wet hair is to dry it with a towel and then use a wide toothed comb to sort through the tangles gently. A brush is more likely to snag and yank at your hair. The brush can pull out your hair at the roots, which is not a pleasant feeling. More importantly, it can cause trauma to your hair follicles and that is something that you want to avoid. Brushes, then, should only be used on hair that is dry. Be sure that you get your hair totally wet before you apply your shampoo. Most shampoos actually contain powerful chemicals. Water serves as protection for your hair against the majority of these. If shampoo gets on dry hair it will still get it clean but it could also break down your hair a little bit too much. Unless you want to experience women's hair loss in the near future, be sure to get your hair completely wet before using shampoo.

It's always great to get a massage, so if you can have someone else do it, then that will be so much better. As you may know, the massage will stimulate circulation and promote the growth of hair. One suspected contribution to women's hair loss is too much stress, and the massage will definitely help you to relax.
