Receding Hairline Women: It's Not Just a Man's Problem

There seems to be a myth that hair loss only pertains to males, however, debunking this myth can expose you to millions of women today that suffer from receding hairline. For males hair loss can be an emotional even, but when it comes to one of the beautiful features of women it can be very emotional and stressing to experience. Generally in male receding hairline starts around the crown and grows into baldness. When it comes to women's receding hairline the hair thins all around the scalp and in some cases causes balding. Various factors are involved with receding hairline in women. The best way to protected yourself, is to arm yourself with knowledge of the issue.

Typically around the age of 30 women will experience some form of hair loss. A lot of cosmetic changes although may look fashionable, take a huge toll on your hair in the long term. Dyes, bleaches, and tints contain chemicals that damage hair growth and follicles. Other forms of hair styling like perms and straightening also fry your hair and damage follicles. Simply being too rough with your hair through brushing or rubbing your hair with a towel will take its toll.

Drastic changes in the body have been linked to hair loss, two of which directly towards women. Fast weight loss in a short period of time has been linked to causing receding hairline. A short time after pregnancy also has been linked to causing hair loss typically 3-6 months after delivery.

Lastly genes play a significant role in predetermining wither you are predisposed to receding hairline. Such hereditary genes like androgenetic alopecia have the same affect on men as they do women. Referred to as pattern baldness, the gene slowly thins the hair to the point that it is to weak and falls out.

Just learning these few receding hairline facts is not enough. Ignoring the signs and factors can and will lead to significant hair loss. The next best step is to consult a professional on the matter in determining treatment to help solve the problem.
