Effective Steps To Grow Hair Long

By Rob Maraby

If you wish to grow your hair long there are some tips you can try that can certainly help. Proper health and care for your hair will definitely make a difference and doing a few of these ideas will help as well.

1. Most people don't think twice about dying their hair, but it can actually be quite damaging. If you are going to color your hair, only use an all natural product. If you are going red or black, use all natural Henna based products for best results.

2. Heat is really bad for your hair. In order to grow hair long, you need to minimize your hair's exposure to heat from hair dryers and styling irons. If you can let your hair air dry, then at least use a diffuser to help prevent heat damage.

3. If you go outside in extreme heat, cold or wind, your hair can get damaged. Protect it by wearing a hat or scarf. Additionally wearing a silk scarf while you sleep can help prevent friction while you sleep. A silk pillowcase is another alternative.

4. Bear in mind your hair only grows about half an inch a month, so if it seems like your hair is growing slowly it's natural for it to not grow really quickly.

5. Make sure your hands are clean whenever you touch your hair or massage your scalp. Oils from your fingers can actually get on your hair and leave it feeling greasy and dirty.

6. It's a good idea to wear protective hairstyles when going outside too. Styles like buns, ponytails, plaits, cornrows and French braids are good ideas as long as you make sure they aren't too tight to pull at the scalp. These styles are very effective for those with hair above shoulder level because the ends of the hair brush against your clothes and creates friction. When you pull your hair back, use smooth clips and bands like butterfly clips instead of elastic bands or metal clips.

You can use Mira hair oil as a deep oil treatment to help with growing your hair out. It conditions your hair using natural herbs and oils that stimulate blood flow to your scalp making for healthy hair.
